A unique repurposed diving jacket from the 1970s, with leather and neoprene, produced as part of the Maison Margiela Spring Summer 2012 collection.

For the 2011 season, Maison Margiela was inspired by the idea of deconstruction and reinterpretation, exploring themes of transformation and renewal. The collection featured a mix of traditional menswear pieces, such as suits and jackets, that had been reworked and reconstructed, often using unconventional materials, such as transparent plastic or paper.

The collection was characterized by its unconventional use of materials, bold colour blocking, and oversized silhouettes. Pieces were often layered and combined in unexpected ways, creating a sense of visual playfulness and disruption.
